About this location
An open scrub grassland sanctuary in Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool district, Rollapadu is one of the last strongholds of the critically endangered great Indian bustard in the south. The open plateau landscape is stark and elemental, and bustard sightings are among India's rarest wildlife encounters.
